The quays around the harbor of Henningsvær are accessible to the public. It is possible to walk almost all the way around the harbor on the quays.
A word of caution, they are narrow in places and are for the most part the working heart of the Henningsvær fleet. Remember to respect that they are next to private residences and that you walk along on your own responsibility! Many of the original timbers of the quays are very old. Periodically, parts require repair and the work is varyingly carried out by private citizens and sometimes government grants.
Imagine as you walk, the fishermen in their femboring, hauling up great heavy nets with their catch, with little more than blocks and tackle and muscle power. Norwegians come from strong stock!
