Storhagen was created by Henrik Klæbo Drejer. It was a traditional garden for the enjoyment of the prosperous of Henningsvaer . It had a curved white fence around the garden and a gate to the north. There are two magnificent ash trees in the northern corner that provided summer shade for the garden. Laden bushes of red and black currant grew safely away from greedy hands inside the fence. The maple in the center of the garden was planted by Mathilde Bordewick.
“Storhagen” is under reconstruction, financed by the project “Historical Gardens in Lofoten” but this time it is open for all to enjoy.
